my eurovox and laptop wont connect using the rs232 cable, any help?

'Sync to serial..' then nothing happens after 30secs (and eventually says a target error message

both ports set to com1 bitrate both to 115200 and parity to none

Possibly, but it seems strange the box was perfectly fine i was just flashing it and it reset half way through and now this, and thats why i believe its caused by a bad flash rather thean a faulty psu. but then again im having big trouble fixing it.

can you not borrow a working psu from someone to test

i cant unfortunately, i guess ill just have to rwead up and hopefully find a fix, i did read that this problem could possibly be something blocking the signal from the pc to box but yet again im a newbie so in the dark

when i try to uprade the box i select com 3, bits rate 115200, parity none and i get the following

Open Serial Port..
Sync to serial port..
Get Client protocol version & chunk
Time out when read data!

Any help Please muchly appreciated
