one thing i will say though is it only has one tuner so recording a channel while watching another is pretty impossible unless you are very lucky its highly unlikely this will work for you

Why is this thered, not questioning you but I regularly watch one channel and record another. Some TPs can hold between 10-15 channels so you can have the pick of the rest. For instance ITV is on the same TP as channel 4 ITV2 ITV3 Channel 4 +1 just to mention a few, same with the movie channels sky modern, both sky premier, sky screen 1, Film 4, Five, sky sports 2 sky sports X Watch and not forgetting Television X all on the same TP so again you could record one of these and have the pick of the rest, don?t get me wrong not as good as a twin tuner but I wouldn't class it as impossible to watch another channel.

i stand by what i said and i never said it was impossible but the chances of actually getting two channels on the transponder you want to view is very remote it may work for you but it has never ever worked for me i have never ever wanted to watch sky premier and record sky cinema some might but the chances are slim

itv is on the same tp as ch 4 on my network granted but itv2 and itv3 are not so here is my point


most people would want to record a channel like say itv while watching football on sky sports or bbc or channel 4 this you cant do

unless you want to record disney while watching sky sports extra (who watches this often)sky sports2 is not on this transponder on my network the pvr function is pretty useless as i said

if it were sky sports 1 it may be different or if bbc itv ch4 were all on the same it may be different

but they are not so the chances of two programs on the same transponder you really want to view at the same time is very slim for me anyway it has never happened yet so i give up trying

which was my point in the beginning i was merely advising that the box lacked a pvr worth mentioning like sky+ which a few people who get the eurovox pvr think it is like

Hi have just purchased a eurovox5000pvr but cant get any channels with the firmware link supplied with box when i do fast install

Press menu, config and system info and post what it says. Take a look at the stickies at the top of the section, (marked in red), they will help regards scanning.
