Thanks... managed to find lots of channels but I don't seem to have ITV and some of the channels are jumpy and scrambled like SKY Premier, Hallmark, Disney Channels etc. Any ideas how I get these sorted out and where I find ITV1?! Thanks in advance!!

if you get some premium channels ie sky sports unscrambled then your box sounds like it has flashed fine it just sounds more of a signal issue

it may be your connection to the box(a frayed wire) or you may need a signal booster are you using a splitter to feed multiple boxes?

you shoud have a number of itvs to choose from if you look in the a-z listings find a working one and swap with the other one

Thanks... I did a scan again and found loads of ITV1's and picked one that worked but I still get problems with the Disney Channels, Sky Premier, Sky Sports X & Hallmark Channels being jumpy and unwatchable - all others seem OK ....when I go on these channels and look at the info for the signal strength I'm getting 83% on these and about 85% on all others... surely that should be OK or do they all need to be 85%?

I don't have splitter in place, this is straight through from the V*rg*n box on the wall and into the back of my ex5000 with the original cable supplied by V*rg*n..... any further thoughts very much appreciated

            Cheers Guys n Gals

it may be enough to just break up a few channels you could try a booster and see if it helps argos to simple refunds if it has no effect

the eurovox tuner isnt as strong as the virgin box or the dreambox so it may be whats causing the signal loss

Thanks very much for your replies... I'll try a signal booster then but to be perfectly honest.. I'm MORE than happy with the new array of channels I have to play with so the missing few (aside from the Disney Channel) won't bother me too much Cheers again!

Hope you don't mind me asking you a couple of questions but your reply seemed to help me with problems I'm having with my dad's pvr 5000.
I'm a complete novicefdgd to all this, btw.
The pvr came with firmware version 1.1 and I did a powerscan and got all the channels but they're all scrambled. I never read before about setting the box to sky sports 1 until it updates the codes.
If I repeat the powerscan (with 1.1 firmware) and then leave it on ss1, will it work for me?

Many thanks and sorry if I've hijacked the thread,

                      slan for now,
                      sw[/QUOTE]

                          Thanks for this info

Thanks for this info gents. I've got the eurovox ex5000 and have run the UFL software (v1.1)(got it from the decrypt forum). But when I reboot the box and go into the menu its says I still have S/W v 1.0 from july 2008.

I'll try the link above and let you know what happens.

                          Cheers
