Well I ordered one on Friday, with upscaling, HDMI, Component, usb flashing etc...., it's a snip at just ?60 more than the Ex5000...and it looks the DB's.
As far as HD goes, BBC HD is pushing some decent stuff out at the moment and VM and quoting 3 more HD channels before April this year!!
So we'll wait and see, it'll be interesting !

I'm currently box-less and looking for either a EX5000 or a EX7000 HD. I hear a lot of people saying the EX7000 won't be able (use/support/handle/decode) Nagra3. Is this the same case with the EX5000?

Can the same thing happen to the EX5000 that can happen to the EX7000?

If I'm risking ?120 on a EX5000, I may as well risk ?170 on a EX7000.

Can anyone confirm?

I found a better way to explain this. If the EX7000 gets affected by Nagra3, does that mean the EX5000/EX5100 will be affected too?

Yes either Nagra3 or iptv will = EX5000/EX5100 will be affected i.e wont work.

If this Nagra 3 or whatever does kick in, will I still be able to use this box as a normal HD freeview PVR? As in, completely legal...

It's a cable box, not a freeview (DVB through an aerial) box, so no it wouldn't work like that.
As far as I see it it'd ony be worth having on the continent, where cable supplies are different to here in the UK.

I have Sky+HD too, so will make a direct comparison using a few channels.

That's superb -- I have Sky HD too so this would be the perfect review.

A few pics of the actual box including the connections and the actual design of the navigation (etc) would be brilliant too. I'm eagerly awaiting a review from you.

I've just spoken to DVB Junkie UK (where I ordered from) and they say that their consignment are due to arrive in the UK today, so I guess I'll be getting delivery of the system by the weekend or early next week.
I'm out of the country over the weekend, back monday night. So hopefully I'll have it tuesday to play with.

would be nice if you had a choice of menu,icons color etc
