Only a few retailers have the pre-production versions at present for testing purposes, the rest of us eagerly await delivery. Think they'll be a big rush to see who can get their personal review online the quickest.

Seems that people will start to receive them today or tomorrow but it really depends when you ordered.

I only ordered mine last Friday so don't expect to get it until next week as I imagine that those that pre-ordered first will only fairly get theirs first. You never know, Mr. Delivery Man might turn up when least expected.

            Hi Darkness.

Parcelforce rip everyone off when it come to Northern Ireland deliveries.

Northern Ireland is in Parcelforce ZONE 3.

We are charged 150% extra on top of our contract price.

We are actually invoiced ?25 for Northern Ireland deliveries, so we swallow the ?5 loss.

Personally cant see the attraction of an HD box at the mo. For the money you would want more than one channel.

More HD channels are due very soon, see loads of other posts.

Think many of us though are hoping that the upscaling and hdmi connectivity will give us improved PQ over the other boxes.

This is my first venture over to the darkside so may aswell get the latest top notch box that's available.

I thought you might have removed that df, should advertising be reported?

No as its not cable fed. I have seen the EX7000 nice box but the SD channels look exactly the same as all other Eurovox models. Yes BBCHD looks great but TBH I would wait until the introduction of at least a few more HD channels on cable.

That is just my opinion and as such isnt a bad review of the box.

The BBC HD is a quality picture as should be expected other SD channels are much the same so dont buy into all this upscaling chat i personally cant notice any differrence with that. The PVR function works well i've tried recording on a 120gb seagate in a usb enclosure and also on a 8gb micro sdhc card within a usb adapter and it records fine on both. recordings are in the .TRP format and can be viewed on your pc, i personally converted my recordings to avi with ojosoft total video converter but as of yet i havent found a way to convert downloaded movies to the .TRP format to play back on the receiver (I'm sure there must be a way to do this). The autosort is not very good on this unit and hopefully will be improved with a firmware update however there is an editor to allow you to arrange the channels the way you prefer.
