I keep having trouble with my favourites. Everytime I go into Favourites and try and get all those channels I have set to a certain number I get random ones and not the ones I chose. I go back to the editing thing and the right channels are in the right groups, just not when it comes to viewing or editing. I really want to change the names of the extra (red button) channels.

Ok having had the pleasure of spending a coupla days with this box here is what i think could do with improving. Of course bear in mind most of this is probably being worked on as we speak
faster channel change.
recorded files given programme name not just the channel.
when browsing epg would be nice to be able to hit info when programme selected and get brief description of said program.
Not much just my personal preferences, also is anyone experimenting with encoding there own files to play off the hd/usb stick if you would be kind enough to share your experiences or tips in this thread that would be great!!Comment

Can all the people who have this Box Give us a little bit info on the performance, am thinking of getting one now that the price is lower @ ?169.
How many HD Channels are viewable at the moments.
Does it have recording facilities?
Nb. I live in london if that helps.
Thanks in advance.

Just one channel available at the moment - BBC HD - performace is ok. It does have recording facilities. It records to a USB drive, can be hard drive, pen drive or whatever but it must be formatted to FAT 32 and the partition you are recording to must be activated to work. Can all the people who have this Box Give us a little bit info on the performance, am thinking of getting one now that the price is lower @ ?169.

Jason, did you check the quality of the TS file after you had converted it with ojosoft? I haven't used ojosoft but I have used Total Video Converter to create a TS file with hardly any loss. I'll give clarktech a try and see where I get.Ok i converted an xvid file to TS with ojosoft video converter then ran the resulting file through clarktech movie maker which created ifo ,idx and trp file this showed up and played on the ex7000 unfortunately playback was choppy and there was a noticeable loss of quality but am on the right track if any one else messing trying to get divx ,xvid ,mkv's to run on this little beasty please feel free to share ur results methods thanksComment

hi guys,,
just my opinion,,
i think as things stand,,you are better off getting a hd media box,,
for the price of a ex 7000 hd you can get one with a high spec sigma chip in it,,
this will upscale ALL channels to hd,,and trust me,,the upscaling is very good,,also upscale your films
