Not my work (all credit goes to kevindj) but thought that this may be of use to certain sony bravia owners (Obviously only those who purchase legit TV from VM
)
Certain sony bravia tv`s come with a built in dvb-c tuner. It appears that this will work on all sony models that have the built in cable tuner on the U and the V series. Unclear about the W version but if they have dvb-c built in it should work.
Dont know if they are still available but Tescos were selling the 32" lcd KDL32V4000 for ?342. It comes with a built in dvb-c tuner and cam slot.
When you connect your cable feed to the aerial socket and run auto tune (for digital tv) it will ask if you want to tune for terrestrial or cable. You must add your default frequency; Net ID and Symbol Rate before scanning. The Red has kindly posted these for you here. http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...a-codes-29260/
Now scan and it should pick up all digital channels.
Now to clear the encrypted channels you will need a cam and card. Any card will do mosc; atmega; tit; au fun etc. Your b/k and IRD will be displayed on the cam.
Cams that will work are:
joker, icecrypt, zeta neotion based cams that have been flashed with 0.79 firmware, any cam that can be flashed with joker 0.79 will work. Note the newer type zeta blue cams can't be flashed! You will need a cas interface and dump of joker 0.79 to flash the cam with.
Cams that dont appear to work:
x-cam, x-cam platinum, nagravision cam, these cams and some others conflict with the tv you cannot get the tv to see them in the ci menu.
Kudos to kev.
Tutorial, joker etc http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=5...4e75f6e8ebb871
