Hi, I,ve got a joker cam but it tells me that it's got 0.80 firmware on it? Does anyone know if it works with 0.80 or does it have to be 0.79 version? I,ve wrote an Atmega with the cam's BK on but still not getting encrypted channels? Can someone shed some light on where i'm going wrong?

Scratch last post the joker 0.80 works with atmega. Encrypted channels went off after midnight but pulled cam out & in of tele & hey presto encrypted channels back! Don't know if this will happen regularly but wont annoy me to much as it's just a back up for my hacked tv drive.Comment

ok u have a blue zetacam and u need to put a bk on there , choices are:-thanks John.
I'm still somewhat confused though. I am reliably informed that the Zeta Blue cannot be programed via cas and must be done by funcard 4/5. I have put the joker fw on the funcard (i think!) but how can I transfer this software to the cam if I cannot access it? Sorry again if I sound like a moran! I appreciate your help m8.

change it to a jokercam by flashing it with the 0,79 firmware - this can only be done with a cas interface not with a funcard or
change the blue zeta firware to a suitable firware like zetablue v2C272X, this will allow a boxkey and can be changed by using a cas interface or the funcard method

I ordered a CAS3+ over the weekend to see if that gets me sorted. My main issue was that because i could not get the TV to see it, i couldnt access anything on the card to extract the BK. I tried flashing with v2C272X also but no joy. Because i cant access it (Until i get my CAS) i have no idea what the hell is on the card or even if its blank. Steep learning curve
Ill post up the results when i get the CAS for anyone interested.
Thanks for the help guys, i'd be lost without people like you!

Hi guys, could someone please help, im new to all this. Using a blue zeta got a basic fun programmer using funprom to prog card. Trying to update the firmware using Fun5 but the update is in BIN format and funprom only allows HEX files. Tried using bin2hex and no luck either. Any ideas? Getting "Wrong Format" errors. God i missed the site
I got frustrated and took my cam apart after i could not even get the CAS3+ to see it. Turned out there was 2 broken circuits on the card. Fixed it but still couldnt get it working so i ordered another
Now when i program Joker 0.79 the CI interface cant see the new card. It just says "ci module is not installed.....initiallising" and so on.
Anyone any ideas? Im really crackin up now!

UPDATE:
I managed to get the TV to see it but because I am in Ireland i cant seem to decrypt anything. I am working on using the funcard AU but if anyone can steer me in the right direction, i would really appreciate it!

Hey khenryashley,
I managed to get my CAM updated to Joker 0.79 but when i put all the relavent files on my Fun, i dont get any messages on my Bravia, like updating or something. Is this normal? It just looks like nothing is happening.
Do i need to go into the CI menu on the TV and access the update from there?
Thanks
