I am a newbie. Thanks to the original poster for starting this thread. I think this what I was looking for. I bought VU+ Solo2 a year ago, ejoyed it. But ever since HD channels went blank, I started thinking about owning DVB-C. As of now I do not have vm line as they do not support in my listed buidling, but soon I will have as I moving into my own property. I hope H1 DVB-C will serve the purpose? Can this record to external hard disk? Thanks for reading and replying. Sorry If I have flouted any of forum rule.Last edited by zhlad; 1 March, 2015, 17:05.Comment

I would say this if you still have the Solo2 stick with it as for around ?30 you can get a DVB-C tuner which will be supported by most images used for the Solo2 you will also retain the recording feature of an internal hard drive on the solo2.I am a newbie. I have the Zgemma H1 it's a nice little receiver for the price but also having a Gigablue Quad+ with its 1300mhz dual core CPU the same as the Solo2 you would notice differences in day to day performance if you downgraded

ok lads ive just got this box but I cant get tunen be to work if I put in my netid it scans in about 10 seconds and finds nothing if I do a complete scan it get 596 channels when I try the fta only a fue of them work can someone till me how you set tuner b up pleaseComment

Could be you are scanning the wrong sat or cable area. For cable, as well as NetID/freq/Srate you need to go to autobouquet maker then Providers and change the sly and VM areas using L/R.Comment

looks like i may be getting one of these...any images that are like black hole images for this zgemma star H1 box...ive had vu+duo before and always like black hole image..Comment

Afraid not Blackhole are on VU+ payroll and have been for the last 3-4 years thats why you dont see Blackhole for any other receiver unless someone patches the images.
The Zgemma's are officially supported by Opendroid,OpenATV,ItalySat which if installed youcan safely download any updates including drivers.
The OpenVix and OpenPLI images are patched to work n the box so use at your own discretion, Personally i stick to the official images knowing that i cant brick the box
