Try installing one from scratch then. I'm not a fan of using backups from another receiver, but it only takes me ten minutes to set one up from scratch. Don't forget to copy the keys folder from the backup because the cfg file will have been modified so that it works.

The Zgemma seems to almost identical hardware wise to the Xpeed Lx2 .
Is there much difference in performance ?

Yep but remember they are very region specific. http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums....php?p=2520513

I just tried the zGemma 2S power supply with the fuse taken out and the green light came on the adapter. Didn't plug the receiver in but that shouldn't be normal behaviour with a fused plug?

Better to be safe than sorry just swap the Figure 8 lead over for a UK one

I would never use there plug end just stick to the figure 8 uk one that is used widely on vcrs and dvd and radio sets.
I never leave my box on overnight and always shut it down because I feel the weakest points on all boxes are the power supplies.

Problem is, on outer appearance it just looks like a regular uk fused plug. There's going to be a lot of people who won't bother testing it and will just used the one they receive.

My question is why would they even create it like they have, surely it wouldn't create so much trouble to make/use a real fused plug?

Im sure I only received a two pin figure of 8 anyway but would never use the Chinese version anyway.
Are you 100% that your box is an original?
I wouldn't think they would supply a UK plug with these boxes as a rule,

I've had both an h1 and h2 supplied with uk 3 pin plug and have just tested them without a fuse and no power is passing through.

I've got a H1 from a certain 'mobile shop' and tested it earlier.
Came with a UK 3 pin plug, took out fuse and box booted up.

I've now swapped it for a UK C7 cable.

I think everyone has to realise that these receivers are made in the Clone Homeland where Health & Safety is pretty much non existent and these types of receivers do not go through the rigorous CE benchmark testing if they did this problem would have reared its ugly head at the very start and no one would have had a receiver until the correct lead and or Fix etc... was put in place

I just wish the beggers wouldn't clone the bs mark on the plug but to be fair mine were ok. Never even thought to check for power without a fuse when i was doing my usual and changing the fuse for a brand I've used for years without issue. Call me paranoid but i do this with all appliances that arrive with fused plugs whether i buy them from a shop in person or online from wherever they may claim to be manufactured.
