          you can change the com port in device manager-com ports-properties-port settings-advanced there you will see port number with drop down box change it to ports 1-4 which ever is free.

                Thanks for the files, i will try and download them shortly and use them with win7 7100. I am hoping that this will work better than the installation pack that prolific provides.

                In case anyone else tries it with Win7,

                - Compatibility mode wont help (Tried XP SP3, Vista, Vista SP2)
                - Windows Update search for drivers wont find it either

                Ill let you know how it works if it works!

                  Doncha love mini-cd's

                  I have a slot loading dvd on my lappy and it doesn't like my mini driver cd, so I will try with the one posted here.

                      vista drivers, clever stuff

                      i been a member about a year an done o few boxes but 1 is givin me BIG probs, ad to get new cable n lot, guna try these driver cuz maplin 1's o PooooooooooooooooooooP.....!!!!!!!!!

                        These are the Maplin cable drivers that I used on Windows 7:

                        - Windows Server 2003 (32 & 64 bit)

                        - Windows Vista (32 & 64 bit)
                        - Windows 7 (32 & 64 bit)
                        ======================================

                        I Have got other drivers for MAC, Linux & windows server if anyone wants them.
