it appears the box has come with pre-installed firmware as when i scan channels it finds all the relevant channels

The pre installed firmware is probably FTA only. It will scan all TPs but you cannot access the CAS menu, do as Maca has said and you will be able to do so then.

Hi, i've bought my starview 5 box today. I've downloaded and put onto usb the

                                TheboxSuperUSB2_v2.03.20090923.BIN

                                firmware.

But when i click on usb on the menu, it goes to the data transfer page and then

"not a file of this IRD"

Is there a certain way the file needs to go on the usb stick? I just dragged it on there. The stick says that it's formatted to fat32 when i checked.

If anyone could help that'd be great.
