the box super loss of channels

Hi guys :-)

I did a reset, put new codes in (im getting quite proficient at this now!) saved, set emu on etc...rescanned etc...still nothing Im afraid.

Oh daft old me, i checked the signal coming in through my virgin box on an old tv and its clear, nothing to do with the Box, its my new amazing panasonic viera...which has been more hassle than its worth!, so please ignore the black and white crappy signal, nothing to do with the box, its perfect through the little portable im using to try to fix it.

Any new updates with regards to Virgin notts/derby? has anyone elses box gone down? and has it been fixed?

silly lass no need to enter new keys they will not change again not with nagra3 coming,daily movement or breakdowns do the usual fix,factory reset,auto scan from direct feed from wall to box,scanning correct provider will bring up loads of channels,exit out ,then menu1570,set default key and keycode enabled exit out to a sly channel to update usually a min or 2.

what plug is on at the mo....

if its European 2 pin, then you can use a shaver plug from most supermarkets.

all depends what box you have, and where you live. if its a cardboard box, and you live in the USA, you might get a shock if you plug it in.....ask a sensible question and you may get a sensible answer from me!!!! others may disagree with my reply, but this is NOT rocket science, just common sense!!!!

better off using a 3 pin plug fitted with a 3 amp fuse,never liked the 2 pin connections.

make sure you update firmware to latest then all rescan channels should all be fine after that .
i had sam problem on my starview 4 super usb just updated to the 1.12 firmware now every thing works fine

Exit out to a sly channel and let it update

once u've tuned the emu on how do u go to a sly channel.

You will not be able to, search for Nagra3.

I have lost most of my channels and my system id is c500 s/w version is 1.07 boot version b-11. How could I upgrade it to 1.12 and how could I flash the box. Do I need to download on to a memory stick and then enter the stick into the box. Please help

Box Super Scrambled

Hi Guys

Excellent thread, I am in the Midlands and VM scrambled the channels this morning. I followed the factory reset as suggested and hey presto, back in business. Thanks

Im having great difficulty with my super box too.

The version is Api ver : 8.00 e_E

Boot ver : 8.0 20th june 2008

Seems i have lost all the channels bar the normal ones bbc1, itv etc

What i have noticed is that even though the signal status is at 98% the level is at 49 - 50 % whatever this means i assume its the input strength???

I have done all the usual in that resetting verifying codes and putting EMU to on and installing channels again and again but alas to no avail.

New to this forum so any help would be greatly appreciated.

So am i to believe there is no fix for this?

When you say 'dead' is this because of age or is it a case of a crackdown??

It depends where you live as to whether its a crackdown, VM have rolled out N3 cards to Devon as of 4 weeks ago and my channels went off sometime during last week, not sure when as i don't watch it.
