Any ideas how to install the new firmware? havent done it before and would really like to get my box back up after changing the key a million times.

and also, to confirm this will work for starview 3 as the ROM loader says box super?

audioblackout, how did you install the firmware because im having problems:

        1) im plugging int he serial cable to the pc and to the box.
2)Turned on the box, it displays the channel number
3)I open the GTRom_Super_8.02e.exe and click download.

But then it says Flash Update Failed...

        am i doing anything wrong?

Yeh same, i got the old v4.00 of the GTRom and that still works with my box, tested it by uploading from the box...

So it seems there is something wrong with this new GTRom loader, it doesnt seem to work with my box, doesnt communicate with it.

Seems few other are having the same issue, need someone more advanced to help us out ...

If someone can give us the .bin file of the update then we can use the old version of the GTRom loader to download the update onto our box.

                          Hi Lolly,

The cable you need is a serial cable, it must have come with your Starview box, then all you do is connect the cable from your pc to your starview box. Then download the update, run it and click download.
