just my two cents mate but it seems to me the black guy brought up skin colour(tan) after they had issues before and the white guy is a bit racist. maybe you should tell the two of them meet at the back of the playground after school, or else tell 'em to grow up......

...then again maybe they are just 2 men that dont like each other, happens all the time, best stay out of each others way if possible.

depends on where you live and the language the locals use i suppose.

when i want a takeaway i use the term " Chinkeys " or " Indians " or " Italians " its just the language we use up here and not in any way trying to abuse another race.

hmmmmm funny this, i see the term "paki" as insulting, yet i dont see "chinkey as insulting", yet i see calling italians "itals" as insulting, calling west indians, rastas etc "black" not insulting, so would you see calling indians ( bows and arrows ) "red skins" as insulting ?

A lot of what's deemed offensive has been determined by the pc brigade. Words that were acceptable some years ago are no longer acceptable now, yet others are.

              THE TRUTH
              The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

If you beleave these words & behaviour of this nature are not offensive, the please explain " what is wrong with throwing bananas at a BLACK player at a football match???

So in my defence I could say "well hes BLACK, come from AFRICA, looks like a MONKEY,Monkeys eat bananas so I am justified in throwing bananas at him."

The simple fact is, these kind of words & behaviour are simply NOT acceptable in this day & age.

And this tread has gone astray from what was originally asked by OP.(sorry about that)

dosent matter what fan you are, fans of different clubs etc being taunted at by using different abusive remarks hardly constitutes being racist, unless aimed at someone who isnt white skinned
the trouble is that most people are completely ignorant to the fact they are being racist, whether they mean it or not and simply lay the blame at political correctness, and you have just slid straight into that bracket by the above comment
anyway this is going off topic so i should stop now

Again I'm going off topic here, so I apologise for that..

But some of the terms like Hun and Orange B****** I know to be offensive to many, there are many a rangers fan or protestant that would take offence to them in Scotland and Northern Ireland particularly.

Like Cablefree said. All this "it's the pc's lot fault" is utter sh*te. It's 2011 for ~~~~ sake, if certain terms insult a race, religon or culture don't use them. Even if some are not offended, you run the risk of offending others.

Some of the post on this thread that have questioned certain terms as not being racist is just beyond me...

'Oh I remember when we could call blacks Niggers, Sambos and Wogs..and call people that wern't so black Pakis... oh the good old days before the tw*ts that are the 'PC Brigade' went and put a stop to it!!'....... Please..........
