AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri is pessimistic regarding the club's chances of finalising a move for Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.

The reigning Serie A champions have spent much of the winter transfer window attempting to a strike a deal for the want-away forward.

City are keen to get Tevez off their books, and the Argentina international has made it clear that he wants out of the Etihad Stadium.

No agreement has been reached, though, despite interest from Milan giants AC and Inter and ambitious French outfit Paris St Germain.

Milan were reported to have reopened talks with City in one last ditch attempt to push an agreement through before deadline day, but slow progress is being made.

West Brom manager Roy Hodgson has once again moved to curb speculation regarding the future of striker Peter Odemwingie.

The latest round of rumours have suggested that the Baggies' Nigerian forward is a target for Premier League rivals Fulham, who are readying themselves for the possible exit of Bobby Zamora.

Transfer gossip has had Odemwingie heading out of The Hawthorns since last summer, with a productive debut season in English football making him hot property.

West Brom have always maintained that he is not for sale, and Hodgson has made it clear that the club are not about to relax that stance.

West Bromwich Albion have agreed a fee with Birmingham City for defender Liam Ridgewell.

Baggies boss Roy Hodgson had been prepared to "move on" after Albion had an initial bid rejected.

But their latest offer for the former Aston Villa man has been accepted and the 27-year-old is finalising the personal terms of the deal.

Sky Sports understands former Arsenal ace Alexander Hleb could be set to join Greek giants Olympiakos

Hleb is looking for a new club after recently being released by Barcelona.

The 30-year-old struggled to make an impact at Barcelona after arriving from Arsenal in the summer of 2008 in a ?15million deal.

Hleb has spent time on loan with Stuttgart, Birmingham City and Wolfsburg in the last two seasons and only recently returned to Barcelona after ending his loan stint at Wolfsburg.

A number of Premier League clubs have been linked with the Belarus international, but Olympiakos are now in pole position to land the attacker.

Steve Kean has called on Chris Samba to accept that he is going nowhere and concentrate on giving his all to the Blackburn cause.

Rovers saw their skipper hand in a transfer request earlier in the winter window, with the commanding centre-half having grown disillusioned with life at Ewood Park.

Speculation regarding his future was already circulating before that point, with Tottenham said to be among those ready to test Blackburn's resolve.

Rovers have stood firm in the face of adversity, with Samba's request having been turned down and transfer rumours having been knocked back.

Kean insists the club have no intention of altering their stance, with it up to Samba to prove that he can be an important figure for the club and play a leading role in their Premier League survival bid.

Spurs to sign Saha & Hugo Rodallega and Defoe will move to Liverpool.

Well that's what the rumours are, but some stories saying Defoe is open to a move away but he doesn't wan't to leave London.

He would be a good signing for you, really knows where the goal is.
Saha is also a fabulous player but spends more time in the physios table.

Inter have signed Porto midfielder Fredy Guarin on a six-month loan deal with a view to a permanent move.

The 25-year-old, who joined the Portuguese giants from St Etienne in 2008, flew to Italy on Monday for talks with Inter boss Claudio Ranieri.

The club has since confirmed the player passed a medical on Tuesday morning and has put pen-to-paper on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The Italian giants have the option to make the move permanent on a four-year contract in the summer.

"He's a player of great quality, physical presence and he can change the play; he's just what we needed," Ranieri told the club's official website.

Inter have also confirmed a deal for Brazilian full-back Juan Jesus from Internacional on a four-year contract.

Russian giants CSKA Moscow have turned down an offer from Lazio for sought-after Japanese playmaker Keisuke Honda.

The Serie A side had appeared close to a deal for the 25-year-old, with reports in Italy claiming personal terms had been agreed.

Honda also said earlier this week he was confident the two clubs would reach a deal before the end of the month.

However, the Russian side have spurned Lazio's bid just hours before the end of the transfer window.

                            Interest

Honda, who joined CSKA from VVV Venlo on a four-year deal thought to be worth around ***8364;6million in January 2010, has been linked with several clubs in recent weeks, including Premier League sides Arsenal, Aston Villa and Liverpool.

European heavyweights Juventus and Paris St Germain are also thought to be interested in the Japan international.

Lazio are thought to have turned their attention to Villarreal forward Nilmar after seeing their swoop for Honda fall through.

However the Biancocelesti's sporting director Ighli Tare, who was due to meet with the Brazilian's agent Federico Pastorello in Milan on Tuesday, admits negotiating a deal before the transfer window slams shut could prove difficult.

He said: "It's hard for Nilmar. This operation is practically impossible."

Marseille chairman Vincent Labrune has revealed he turned down an "enormous" bid from Tottenham for striker Loic Remy.

The 25-year-old is very highly rated by Spurs boss Harry Redknapp and has been tracked by the north London club for some time.

Redknapp was present to see the France striker bag a brace in Marseille's 2-0 win over Lille earlier this month which prompted Spurs to offer a reported ?18million for his services.

                              Refused

"In January, I have two deals to manage," he told French newspaper L'Equipe.

"That of Lucho [Gonzalez], who wanted to leave, and that of Remy, who Tottenham wanted to sign.

"I do not think any other president in France would have refused the enormous proposal the London club made."
