Kenny won the Carling cup with them. Many managers over the years have had this problem they've bought players that didn't perform much under them but under another manager they do well, so wait and see. Im not a fan of Downing's myself but let see what he does under Rodgers

I just don't see Liverpool going forward with the three turkeys in the lineup. I hope they sign Dempsey.

?10 mill for Dempsey whose 29 and got a year left on his contract, i think it's too much 6-7 mill max.

?15 mill rumored fee for Allen is way too much, good player but not worth that much.

Give me a break. Dempsey is ten times the players Adam, Henderson and Downing. Maybe 10 mil might be a tad to much but someone will pay it and i would rather see him line up on Liverpool's side then against them. Dempsey is a we need results now player and has a good 5 years left.

Missed the first half but I thought Suso, Sterling n Morgan were brilliant tonight in the 2nd, Cole wasn't bad either but his set pieces were.

Wolfy you must be well happy being able to go and see Liverpool play. You are going..? Boston is only 214 miles from New York. I do the same distance journey 18 times a season. No excuse

I would love to go but the sad thing about sports here is you can't get tickets unless you pay a broker ( legal scalper ) and pay thru the nose. It's a joke you call when they go on sale and with in 5 min they are all gone. It's not like a real game anyway.

I don't see him being at any club for 5 years. 2 to 3 years left in the prem then off to the retirement league MLS.

Do you think Aquilani should be given a chance. didn't play bad in Toronto but wouldn't judge anyone in that game since they played on fake grass that was really slow. I think they should plus Cole too. I think the little Italian forward is a waste. I think with Healthy Gerrard and Lucus with Aqu and Cole should start the season. Save the transfer money for January if thing don't work.

Aquilani should be given a chance, i think he will do well with this style of football. I was impressed with our youngsters against Toronto but then again it was just what i expected from them. The way they have performed in the reserves for the past few seasons they look to have bright futures ahead of them. Even Pacheco coming back from loan spells away did well, I thought Cole did well although he came in for a lot of criticism from fans on social media sites, his set pieces were not up to scratch but he does look more fitter then usual.

Id use Aquilani more then Cole tho during the season. I won't comment on Borrini i don't know too much about the lad will give him time, we may get a glimpse of him against Roma on Wednesday.
