Just a thought, pretty sure moyes will want some of his henchmen. Does this mean the end for micky phelan and melunsteen be a shame if they were all broke up

Six years is a big contract, i wish him the best of luck and hopefully he can win some silverware in his first season. It will certainly take the pressure off, any trophyless year will amount a mass of pressure on him. A good start will eliminate that and gain the respect of the players

Probably the right choice long term, and you never know we may even improve as good as fergie was he did drop the odd tactical bomb. Moyes maybe a little better in that department.

Time will tell and he should be given reasonable time to make his mark, i dont suppose it will be too easy many people at OT have only known Fergie, he's been there since i was 10.

But one thing is for sure he does not need to do much, the right 2 or 3 players and we should be challenging on all fronts. If we start to drop away then he is not up to the job

Still no official report from OT

Seems strange Everton have announced his desire to join Manchester United first

I view it as speculation until its signed and sealed

Well having just caught up on this from this morning, it is confirmed that he (Moyes) is leaving Everton at the end of the season and has expressed a desire to manage Manchester United, it all but seems like he will be next manager of MUFC. Regarding Rooney it would seem he did ask to leave in the summer but the UTD board turned that down.

Players come to UTD and win cups which they haven't managed to achieve at their old clubs, why not bring a manager in to do the same. 20

Id be happy at that, i think rooney needs the boot he has not lived up to his reputation for years, while he is still worth a few ? its the right time to go
