Once again the threads turned into an episode of brookside

I thought we did ok today for large parts today but lacked the cutting edge to finish things off. Evra coped quite well with the (shall we call it atmosphere ?) and although somewhat at fault for the goal he played his part well and did not rise to the taunts.
We lacked a few keys figures today but still managed to dominate possesion away from home and I think the players can come away feeling unlucky and proud of a good solid performance.
Shall I mention De Gea ?
He was lost today and instead of finding ways to defend him I think we need to be honest and say he is not yet ready and almost certainly Lindegaard will take number one for league fixtures. WTF was he doing for the 1st goal ?????
Bad substitute removing Scholes and we lost our hold on the game after his exit but we cannot expect for him to play so many minutes.
They were there for the taking today but we are outdone by some bad keeping errors and we ran out steam and ideas once Scholes legs gave up the ghost.
We will recover and refocus now and with some important squad members due back in the next 2 weeks we have a chance to exact a very quick and timely revenge

I do see that Liverpool continue to be excluded from the two footed tackle rule given that Maxi was not even booked for what was at the very least a rash challenge.

It just comes down to what happens on that day and all in all I thought the ref did ok today but first Downing and now Maxi perhaps you are not so much the victims

I will say well done to Liverpool they stuck to the task today and came out winners and of that I have no complaints.
Football is what it is and days like today are why we love the game, today you are victorious so the banter is welcomed but just remember it might all come back to haunt you in a couple of weeks

I would maybe rather not have lost Alom but today will give us a lot of confidence and I trhink just for that lack of cutting edge it would have been our day. Rooney was a huge loss but we can not dwell can we, we have a title race to compete in

A replay was something neither club would have wanted, but it would have suited Utd more.
