The official attendance last night was 27750 hardly an insignificant number, but I suppose in a stadium like Celtics(one of the best in Europe) that does look poor, still I'm sure plenty of clubs would be delighted to get a turn out of over 27 thousand for a midweek match.

Now, the main focus should be on why those fans stayed away, for me its a clear message to the board, they are sending a very loud wake up call to those at the top, get this mess sorted out now, or we stay away, now if only some of those in the EPL had the balls to do the same eh !

never m8 we support the shirt and the team. staying away means loss of money on the gates witch no team can afford to do.

The vast majority of those who stayed away last night are season book holders thier ??? is already in the hands of the directors, but staying away last night sends a clear signal of intent by Celtic supporters, they are United in thier disgust at how the club is being run at the moment and those at the top need to sit up and take notice. I also seem to remember not so long ago the "We Deserve Better" campaign by Rangers fans and rightly so....as fans we are entitled to expect our clubs to be run to the best of the boards ability, neither Liverpool, Rangers or Celtic are receiving that from thier respective boards. If fans are happy to sit and watch thier club being ruined by those at the top that's thier outlook, I and many Celtic season book holders are prepared to fight for our clubs future and let the board know it !

I have been a Celtic fan for over 30 yrs, I am more than prepared to give up my season book if I feel the board do not have my interests and thus my teams interests as thier highest priority, there is no point in me supporting my club financially if those finances are not being used in my teams best interests, that is what being a supporter of a football club is all about. So to answer your question I will not renew my season book if I feel the board are not doing enough for the club !

I am a supporter of Celtic, I am NOT an armchair fan, who sits with his beer can at home mouthing off, but has never set foot in the ground, nor bought a single item from the official clubs attire I have for many many years put my money were my mouth is, that's what fans do, but there comes a time when enough is enough !

i know what your saying m8 ive been all round europe and followed liverpool home and away for god knows how long but staying away when you have already paid seems daft we all get pissed off with our clubs no matter what i just think voicing your disapproval in numbers is better than staying away.

maca you must realise the fans were very very upset at the recent cup semi final loss, staying away is not ideal from a fans perspective, but the board will have noticed the numbers were down big style last night, they will notice that more than anything else, as will the players some of who are not fit to wear the shirt.

I know Celtic fans are fair game at the minute as a big club we're entitled to get stick, but I'm hurting at the minute and fail to see the funny side of it, maybe I'll get over it shortly

Skegs - Me too a season book holder (card) holder & didn't go the other night. A mid wk game for me means a day & half off work and enough juice in the car to travel the best part of 500 miles.

I don't blame any of the 20 odd thousand season card holders not for going. They have all given enough to the club this season already. I remember getting rid of the old board by not going and boycotting games. Football clubs take note of that and hopefully ours will this summer.
