I can't remember now when I typed my MAC address in the boxes whether it changed them to uppercase. I shouldn't really matter you should still see the red envelope in the messages but thats only if you have all the files and folders out of Letterbomb.zip on the SD card else you won't see the message.

It shouldn't matter if your at work as the message is sent to the Wii with that MAC address.

Thanks all for your replies, I haven't put the sd card in yet.......so the message will show up only if the sd card has the two file from letterbomb on it.("boot.elf" and "private"), did I understand right?

another question please, I am following your "4.3tut" ck-ok ....I have downloaded the hack files from digital kaos that you suggested ("4.3 hack files") so is your file the same of the one in letterbomb? Or do I have to put them both onto the sd card.(letterbomb=private +boot.elf and 4.3hacks files=hackmii + modpack )
              many thanks

After you have softmodded all 3 options on the screen

                    1. Install Homebrew
                    2. Install BootMii on IOS
                    3. Prepare SD card

You must choose Prepare SD card this will make the [bootmii] folder on the SD card so you can run BootMii as you exit HBC by pressing the Home button. Then you need to do the NAND backup this is VERY important just in case you manage to brick your Wii. After that save the [bootmii] folder and nand.bin and keys.bin on the root of the SD card to some where very safe as these files\folder will be needed if you have to restore your NAND.

                    NAND backup

After you have softmodded you can delete the files on the SD card as they aren't needed any more.

Sorry but thats typical of users only doing a third of the job without reading a proper tutorial. Most users don't know you need to do a NAND backup.

The problem you have now is if you have installed extra wads then these will be saved in the NAND backup so you won't be restoring the NAND to near enough original.
