When it opens choose IOS36, Press A to open from SD slot. Install the following WAD files as listed below to your Wii:

cIOS250-v14.wad
IOS70-64-v6687[TB+ES_diV+NAND].wad
forwarder-UMRD wad
You are now set for playing backups on your Wii.
i have been able to download all e`xcept cIOS202[38+60]-v4.wad . is this going to cause problems? ERROR ! (ret = -1022)

It seems you need to keep your Wii connected to the internet for this. Is there anything on the wii to do with internet connection which i need to turn off in order to prevent bricking? Automatic updates etc? What is it exactly that causes your wii to brick?
