you can only play games of usb/hdd with black wii,so read this Loading and Playing Wii Backup Games from USB HDD good luck

have you selected the right drive,and format option in the wbfs dropdown menu?

yea the drive is E and i have choosen E and hasnt allowed it ...

is there no other way of me playing games downloaded ?

your gonna have to get yourself a decent sized usb pen or bite the bullet and get a hdd

Im using black wii ver4.2e. I couldnt play just dance PAL from usb loader. i did the softmod that is written in the first page. the remote control screen appeared after that black screen came up. is there anything missing or did I forget to do
something please help

Fristly Hi everyone, im a noob to soft-modding but am a competent user of all things techy so hopefully I wont have to bother everyone too much!!

Ok i have just spent the afternoon reading through all of the comments...literally ALL of them...Im going to attempt this tonight!

As well as the steps...I seem to come across Brickblocker a lot so will download this and use as necessary. Also PriiLoader (think this is in the software bundle).

Just need to make sure that I use the BootMii tool as my wife will make me sleep in the shed for a week if I was to break the machine and waste a recently spent ?230!!!!

Ive just ordered some Verb DVD+R's....only kidding people...they are DVD-R's...25 should see me through for a while.

Also need to remember to turn the auto update thing off. My 7 year old likes to play teckie and she regularly goes into settings 'just to see'...This is how you learn I suppose but no...not on Daddys Wii!!!

There is a new complete 4_2.zip file on post 394. Assuming this is the latest one also found on page 1?

Just thinking out loud here people. Im sure somewhere in amongst my babble there are questions or even things that perhaps people could say...yh Brad...thats the path!

Well I'll soon be home...put the kids to bed early...get me laptop next to the Wii...and see how long it takes for me to starting swearing as my Wii no longer turns on!!!

Greetings, page one is up to date, doing this mod start to finish, thats updating from 3.2 to 4.2, then using the tut, it took me approx 20 mins.
Ok I didnt install bootmii,preloader etc, but I'm pretty confident when doing this, however follow the tut and install bootmii/pri loader etc etc if this is your first time doing this, and as you say ?230 is a lot of dosh to pay for a nice white paper weight.
Take your time, read the tut carefully, and you'll be fine.
Nearly 80,000 views,few hundred posts, and I'm pretty sure no one has bricked one yet.
keep it real, keep the faith and all that $hite !!!

Do I need a seperate sd card for the bootmii install or do I just leave the one with bannerbomb in?

yes install bootmii as iso before preloader
yes same card

OK bootmii installed.

So now if I want to install priiloader should I follow method A up to A4 and then follow the priiloader guide on Adewiis blog?

I don't want to mess with too much before I do the NAND backup.

What is GP DOP-IOS MOD doing to the wii up to A4 and does it change the NAND at all?

I don't see the priiloader files in the complete4_2 files so I've downloaded them from the link at adewiis blog.

What is the trucha patch all about?
