Yep trying again and all working. I had to go to ade's site for the homebrew channel pack as the one on bootloader didnt have any channels?? Anyways, got it now. My wii must be fairly old cos the BootMii installed as Boot2 and BootIso. So basically i installed both, then went into BootMii and did a NAND backup (read: lots of little green squares - 2 were black). I then put, from the SD card to my PC, 3 files: BootMii folder, bootmii.nand and bootmii.something. I left these on the SD anyways but just wanted to confirm that this was the right procedure to unbrick in case of the worst!
I have started to get a couple of games which should be finished today..."Yes Your Honour, I own the original"...so Ill give the game and BrickBlocker a little 'personal time' together before burning. Just wondered though, if it says patched, and I still use BrickBlocker, it wont unpatch it!
Still waiting on my Verbs to come through...then its all gravy from there!!!

Oh man
ok guys, so i got super mario brothers, burnt it with img burn...no luck! when i went into uloader, it just says DVD Error -2. The cIOS being used is 222 if that helps. tried d/l the new cios38 rev 17 but no luck. also tried neogamma8 r17 but no luck. im gonna try burning the game again ut we will see. any help???Comment

I cant see how to access the uloader menu to turn that on? tried all the buttons, even got pacman at one point!!Comment

what an original disc? click on dvd where?
ok put an original in, and can see the settings, but put the backup in and the only option at the bottom is wii menu. perhaps its my disks...ill wait for the verbs unless u can suggest anything elseLast edited by Bradley1984; 24 February, 2010, 22:09.Comment

Nope, dont get any of that, if i press home in uloader it exits and the + does nothing. ill try when i have a diff game and also when these verbs come in!! im using uLoader 4.1 by Hermes if that makes any difference!

ok put your game in drive start uloader on main screen top right corner there is a tab for dvd click on that you should get a disc spinning for a second then the setting for that disc should be displayed.if you have a new wii there is a chance that it cant play dvd backups or could be a bad burn or substandard media,wait until you get your verb's and use imgburnsigpicComment

I ended up here because i bought black wii and just upgraded v4.2e to it. Tryed already 2 methods of softmodding..neither worked. Not even booted at it:/

Try the method at the start of this thread it will work if you follow it correctly step by step. Dont forget that black wii's do not play back up dvd's,playing games is either external hhd or large pen drive only.

Gonna follow that link and install uloader v4.5B. I have tried installing all different sorts of wads and cios's now...im scared its gonna go pop!! ive got my bootmii installed to boot2 so i can still recover it...!
hopefully thsi works...if not, i may have to look at usb hdd!!!
