Help Streaming ADMC Sports....

Anyone else experiencing the Al Jazeera website running extremely slow? Cannot get it to load any streams up!

had the exact problem - switched from hd6 (r keys / andy gray gassing) to hd5 - was hanging like saddam!! Took 5-10mins to get back in... Well think it was 315 that I got in...guess there was a mass load on their servers at 3pm

I registered for the full HD package the other day and when I tested it I was well impressed. Today though at the 3pm kick off when the load on the servers was at its max the usual problems started to materialise. The picture quality with regards to clarity was good but the stuttering was poor. I think that it is all down to the Geo routing method that we use. I tried Hola (free server) which was the best but not great and I also used SmartDNS(paid server) which was poor. These are the areas that need sorting.

I've complained to SmartDNS and await a reply, but I am wondering if anyone was happy with there viewing today and if they are willing to share there configuration with us?

I signed upto JSC using their Ipad app.. ?35 it was, it works fine however I do not have a login in e.g username and password to use on their site - Does anyone know how to get it?

I had no issues with stutter.Screens i posted earlier show the quality i was getting.I was on the 300KB/s stream alll the way through.At 3pm site went down for some/all im not sure and the man u game had to F5 twice because of commentary was out of sync and the quality did drop but picked back up.I have a i5 which was running at 3.8 ghz and using ie in win8 was using avg 6% and around 300MB of mem.Ii use cfos speed to traffic shape my connection and give the stream as much b/w as possible and my gtx660 was running oc'd so cant say on how much load in % was on the card... I would think the biggest restriction for most is graphics

Quality is vg - however, it does appear to be approx 23-24fps vs 25fps - but once you watch for 5-10mins you get used to it.

I think everyone missed the opening mins at 3pm (perhaps a tech issue and aj will have this corrected for next sat?)- for me it took 15mins - it also froze (with sound) amd had to refresh - still 60-70mins is better than 2mins on motd

It has been answered before, you don't receive a website login, the iPhone/iPad subscription is for them devices only. I emailed the support team who confirmed it unfortunately.

Hi, I will have a look at Cfos for the traffic management, however can you tell me were you connected to the net directly or via Wifi and at what speed? Also are you using Hola or something else?

Yep, I'm on NBC Sports live extra, all I can say is that it's fantastic! Plays really well, excellent quality stream, english commentary and analysis....Only downside is that it doesn't work with smart DNS so you must enable vpn, so for me the quality is limited by the VPN speed, when I got a decent speed with VPN it was hd quality (IMO) when the VPN slowed down to around 1 meg or thereabouts it was still very watchable, highly recommend!

wired... my line speed is 21Mb/s but tops at 19.4Mb/s in realtime and using smartdns

Yeah, you need a us cable tv login, I'm lucky in that I have family in the US with a cable sub although I'm sure there are some people online who may be able to get u a log in if you search some forums.

You also have to change your iTunes account to Egypt (just pick any of the 2 letter governants. And you can also choose not to register a card.

Can't offer any solutions but the web version has also been bad most of the weekend but last week it was first class. I am hoping that it is just teething problems and it will be corrected. My Guess is that its all down to it been overloaded as it improves when the games finish! I have an I5 laptop, 4gb mem and 20meg BB. Network load when watching is only around 2.2Mbps but if you check S*Y online they run at about 20Mbps and it is smooth. I think it needs to be around 4 - 4.5Mbps to be happy with it. Got to be an issue at there end with the data output balancing that they are using.
