Get the hirens CD in which you will find a tool enabling you to erase the old pass word and to type your new one in case the safe mode has also an anknown pass word

You cannot erase a HDD with a HDD password set, unless you pay a specialist company.

have you posted it in the correct case as tags and passwords are case sensitive
is the 5th character a zero

Hi There,

I'm Paul and new to this forum, for the same reason as many others. A D630 BIOS password prevents me from doing what I want, which is upgrading the BIOS.

Any chance of getting me the password for this service tag:

3Y3VG3J-595B

EDIT: Just found out I can upgrade the BIOS, but I still cannot change many of the settings, like IDE/AHCI mode etc, so it seems I still need the admin password to unlock the bios

I've assumed 7th is a zero
password umwas0c9 (6th is a zero)
