Great tutorial, finally managed to unlock my e5030, I need advice on what to do next, can I install any network sim and it should work? Also will I need to flash new firmware to install a generic dashboard/ui for universal network tethered use?, great work, thanks in advance.

I got the Huawei e5223 but I need an unlock code for it. I can't do the tutorial at the start as I use it for my phone. It is a hotshot wireless device. Any help would be greatly appreciated and would save me from having to buy a diff one. Thanks in advance. Lisa.

Are you sure this isn't a E5332? Any way, if it's post 2012 then you can't read the codes...

So is the only way to get it unlocked to get it from o2 after spending the credit?

I have used these people who charge ?3.99 per code.

Just make sure that when you pop in the wrong SIM that it actually asks you for the unlock code.

If it does, then go to Huawei Unlock by IMEI and fill in the model number and IMEI.

They do the codes manually but it is usually within 12 hours or so.

Unlocking and flashing E 5832 S with a firmware that let me change APN:

1. I used QCMobile****ysisToolV5.06 for reading EFS
2. I found the unlock code with ExtractText, form me was the first code from the column
3. I could't enter the code using CardLock_Unlock because didn't detect my modem.
4. I decided to enter the code using the web interface. WORKED PERFECTLY.
5. I flashed my device with this firmware WLE5832S3095001_ALL_VERSION_V100R001C365B311_USB

I don't have support for this modem. But I do have support for the E585u-82 & E585v2, both produce the same code.
