Never use an onlike box key generator full stop..Regardless of how trustworthy you think it is.
When you can use a simple snientific calculator why take the risk ? Theres also several standalone non-internet programs that can calculate your BK like B16 MCC tool etc..

And it's been posted that you don't even need a BK when using OScam.

let me give you guy a situation for which i need big help with:

              situation A
ny mates got a sky package (sky world) + all the asian channels

and he was using the sky card for CS. one day whilst the card was in cardreader it stopped showing any chanels from the sky world package but the asian channels were still showing.

when he rang he rang sky tehy told him to deal with **** and he got a letter to say "sorry you are leaving sky", he rangee them and they said they were investigating. Then he got his basic channels back.

              his got virgin broadband.

how can they block a card whilst its in the cardreader or dreambox?

how does the signal get to the card whilst in the reader.

              situation B

Now i had a sky account with sky basic channels (bbc etc only) and all the asian channel and when he had this problem he wanted to broorow my card to use for CS for a week whilst he arranged a new sky card for himself. when i got my card back i rang sky to get upgrade to have the sky world package and to this day sky keep telling me that there is a problem with the system and they will look into and let me know. I have rang sky about 7 timesand each time its a same excuse there problem with the system. they said they will give me an answer in 73 hours.

              my questions are:

              1) howw can sky block a card whilst in the dreambox or cardreader.

2)could it be due to CCCAM

              3) could it be due to Boxkey

              4) the code genrerated by the boxkey and insterted in CCCAM - can that be blocked or hidden in cccam so no one can decode it and get your digibox number.

              4) if you are card sharing how often shoudl you put card back in digibox.

              thank maates
In the case of where the card was in the Dreambox and it stopped working, they didn't update anything, the entitlements on the card which are update monthly simply ran out. When you or your mate or whoever rang up sly, it all depends on the reason given and how many times in the past you've done this. For example it's quite conceivable that you switched the sly box off whilst having your house redecorated or refurbed once every few years but what excuse are you going to give if you do this a few times a year?

Also, AFAIK, card updates aren't done in the normal fashion when compared with a normal a card reader/writer, by this I mean updating the entire flash on the card with a dump of code. Sly send updates as bits of code, which I think are referred to as EMMs, that the card runs which then updates the card.

I think personally that although the boxkey generator could be a suspect, I think sly are more likely to keep an eye on people who ring up to say my channels have gone off as this is the initial clue that they need which tells them that either your sly box was switched off or that the card wasn't in the box during the entitlements update period.

None of what I've said is based on any hard facts, just simple logic, so don't quote me

My card died as well in May, next day i sat down to watch and was welcomed by the Call Sky to Upgrade your subscription on all channels except the Freesats.

All entitlements were updated til July so there was nothing wrong there.

Now i have a new card, something fishy is going on as the card has some sort of intelligence to detect if it works outside the official box, that is my beleif.

There is no protection against this and if you read other forums the white cards die like flies.

It doesn't matter if you have valid updated entitlements, it doesn't say shit about the card will work or not.

Somehow the card got some intelligence that detects being outside the official box.

Sky will replace the card once but if you get like three times calling sky for replacement they will start to investigate your account.

In my opinion it's not worth running this card outside the official box anymore, i sold my Vu+ Duo as i don't have any real need for it anymore.
