Vu+ Uno and Vu+ Duo Clones to be released by the end of the month

I have noticed that the new Blackhole image has a "Genuine Vu+" plugin, hopefully the other Image builders will follow suit.

That was introduced by Vu them selves directly from the Driver level so any image using the newest Drivers has the same feature, although a little work is needed by the teams to integrate it fully.

I deal with theses clones. As well as clones of dreambox, they do not work with the original images. At the receiver there is a sticker with the link above to a site with patched images. With this images of the receiver is working very fine!

I think that is a very good idea. Hopefully people start using this.

I'm worried a bit about selling my original vu+ duo one day and people mistaking it for a clone and not buying.

It will be even harder to distinguish clones in the near future.... As the 2nd revision clones will start appearing as a Chinese seller on alibaba informed me. These will have black remotes and possibly more accurate maternal fittings.

what i can see in the near future is people asking for help about their vu- boxes and getting it but the main problem will be in the not knowing you bought a clone and maybe bricking the box permanently,so if you dont do your homework and box is bricked,well we cant say we did not try to warn you.

dont think that will be a issue mate they know it is a clone and mention on a thread for instance that it is a clone.

Look at the Dreambox section for instance basically all threads are clone related.

Actually after saying that realised you are probably right as they will never be anywhere near as popular as the Dream clones. Also we are able to refer to dream clones by there sim etc.
