i know the savings to be made aren't as good as a dreambox, but for those on limited budgets,they are worth considering.







or put another way, a enigma 2 twin tuner hd pvr for under ?200.

you pay your money and take your chances but ViX nor BH will ever offer any form of support for a cloned box.

I can give you many forums with similar threads. but its your money to spend as you wish.

Here you go m8 one of these should get the box going but dont forget you might need to ftp in different drivers to get it working with your tuner.

At this rate, I can see Vu+ clones becoming more mainstream if everybody starts to sell them this cheap. (After all, clones are made popular for their price, why else would you buy a clone?)

Why on earth would anyone in there right mind purchase a solo clone at ?130 that has next to no support, it has not properly been tested, it does not support a internal HDD. They could have a DM 800Pro clone which has been well tested by now, has support everywhere you look, supports a built in HDD and for the price of ?95-?100 from China (I think the solo is the same price from China)

Normally I would agree with the budget theory if it was a Dreambox clone as there is a difference in price in hundreds but here you are talking about a price difference of ?100, If I only had ?200 budget I would know that I would be better off putting money by for 1-2 months for that bit extra to afford the original.

Already happening Vu Clones being sold on ebay at original cost and no mention of them being clones.... which is a disgrace.

There will be differences between the clones and originals and already more needs to be done to use the latest images on the clone receivers so people are going to end up buying these thinking they are originals (because of arseholes on ebay) and end up bricking there receivers.

I have noticed that the new Blackhole image has a "Genuine Vu+" plugin, hopefully the other Image builders will follow suit.
