Mate we are not here to talk about the so called big boys and what they offer we are already close to the bone here on the Forum Rules as it is, My point being there re still packages on other satellites that have had encryption chnages to block certain content and those changes have still not been hacked in any way or form for a long time, I just happened to mention 2 popular packages there are others Digiturk and totaltv as well as some on digitalalb the list could go on.

NDS/Videoguard has so called never been broken the so called 'Hack' was a workaround only and still is, The last real encryption break was September last year with part of the Skylink package broken. Rumours where it was released due to Skylink changing encryption method in the very near future.

Yes remember it well and at the time wasn't old Rupey's encryption already hacked and he was in the process of buying the NDS company or i should say take a 49% stake anyway. That way he eliminates the competition and safe guards his own little investment for the future

Yes Rupert liked it that much he bought the company and stopped it's legal action against his company, way to go for him. It's not really the threat of legal action that stops people hacking NDS, they're just plain scared to do it or admit to even trying. There's plenty of rumors out there of the retribution that will be bought to bear if some soul does ever release the code. However with thingss the way they currently are there is no reason to release anything, again there's more profit in not releasing it, albeit illegal profit, however that doesn't seem to bother anyone. So anyone waiting for a hack to NDS or N3 may as well also wait for world peace and join the Tibetan monks in waiting for a free Tibet.

The big far eastern STB manufacturers will not take this sitting down. SlY UK is a very big selling point for them, and I recon there will eventually be a fix. Viadat HD can be shared, its just that most people cannot be arsed about jtagging boxes for the sake of a few channels. One the screen goes off for SlY UK, that will be a different story altogether, and a solution will be here soon.

Oscam will not be the ones to come up with the fix. They rely on someone to post the fix and then they will implement it.

Sly is slowly moving to IP based content. And with 5 million broadband customers already signed to it, its really easy for them to just force everyone to have IP boxes
