true but also the people that do not wand to pay 80 quid a month for a bit off footy and the odd movie the way to stop pay servers is for sky to drop the price and for them to have some real competition this will only happen as iptv gets bigger and you just pay for what you want[/QUOTE]

Not to mention the number of Expats living elsewhere in Europe, many of whom would/have paid sky but are not allowed to. TBH if the broadcasters were subject to the common market and people could buy their TV from where they wanted to in Europe CS would not have become such a problem in the fist place.

Expats are more interested in the terrestrial channels like the BBC. Sports and movies are generally available on all European packages in the country they are residing in.

For that matter UK terrestrial providers should block their channels in Europe for anyone that doesn't pay a license for them like UK residents. But I agree that residents of European union countries should be allowed to subscribe to their chosen TV provider.

I know a number of people in France who pay licence fees in both France and England yet really only want to watch English programs normally free to air stuff. However the point remains if you are in a "common market" you should have the right to choose where you buy your TV from. Which would introduce an element of competition drive down the prices. If you look at the TV on demand market that is what is starting to happen

I know its possible, I am wondering who he get it off... I was told that the correct info on how to extract the 2nd from the original box is actually exchanging hands for ???. And payservers are coughing up the cash.

Last saturday was the worst during football. Almost all channels were unwatchable. It was nothing to do with overload. Then from monday it has been normal, not a single glitch. Something happening and they are testing effectiveness

We have let this thread go on despite the numerous mention of one certain UK provider time and time again.

This also despite the fact I was accommodating enough to edit each post and ask in a polite manner that this not continue for obvious reasons.

It is always good to see an educated debate, but not one that will draw the web spiders and keywords associated with them.

So once again please just use some common sense before posting.

I also note that there is already a payserver or two on this thread which also doesn't help.
