here,s one for you,s guy to digest and try and get your head around it i use 3 sly uk cards on my server with friends to share when i go to bed at night i take 1 out and put it back into the sly receiver its the same card all the time but when i return that card to the reveiver my ecm times on that card are high and my friends get high ecm times fro that card so when i remove it again then the ecm times drop so my thinking is that when it go,s into the box they send something down to the card to cause this in the server

I could be wrong but Sly might be targeting those customers who have multi-room subs with high ecms since either or both of the cards can be used for sharing. I haven't yet come across posts from people with single subs using their card for sharing.

As for losing HD channels, it will become a reality soon due to it happening to other NDS encryption users such as Viasat.

My card is single sub mate, so I don't think it's that.

no my point was i was wondering as being this is being tested and the company incharge of encryption is mentioned weather or not this may contribute to what this thread is all about

sorry m8, don't quite understand. they're software is actually pretty good when you look at it impartially though - no doubt this is possible.. but it will only be software on the official box which acts upon this additional 'signal' I suspect.

..the article also suggests it may just be internet connected boxes..?

all channels have failed for many people, look at all the threads everywhere, from people sharing their card, who wake up one morning, put their card into their official receiver, and EVERY sub channel says

'This is the wrong card for this receiver'

on the screen, HD, SD, premium, basic, every single one of them

less then 10 days ago, i was able to play with a brand new card and box, to get it running in a linux receiver to make a small home multiroom setup where an internet connection wasnt even present, and ONLY the usual 10 digits were needed to create a working boxkey for the premium content to clear, using the extra digit to generate a boxkey DID create a completley different one, and out of curiosity, i tried it, and it locked the channels down again, so, for now, this extra digit is only needed for slys own internal system. i was able to verify this by using their online portal to send a card activation signal, and omitting the last digit (which was an E) on a receiver running older software, so the E didnt actually show in the on screen menu, and even though i was entering the serial number as shown on the screen, slys system refused to accept the number, untill this extra digit was added, then the activation went through instantly

I was trying to pair my card with a older box and tried to do it over the phone.

Was hoping the older models samsungs would get the update later but was told on the phone I had to do a software update which I then done. I then gave them the new serial and they said thats the card paird.

Which it wasnt. left it all night and still was not for pairing.

Called sky and guy said no you card is paird, 30 min of pointless tasks from cleaning card, even tho i was getting discovery etc just no HD etc.

I i just went to the site you mentioned above and entered details and it cleared right away.

So christ knows what they were doing their end.

No boxkey was needed as it was being used in OScam.

Even when the card said it was the wrong card from official receiver it still cleared ok in server.

Card won't glitch at that. Must be other issues afoot with setup.

Is the card in your setup ?

Also lots of times routers can cause you problems. Update fw on router.

My mate had a sly router. Fine for a year or 2 then glitch glitch glitch. Phoned akd said net keeps d/c , they sent replacement akd problem solved

My own setup, ecm shows at .350 when what ever is going on takes place no glitchin.

So f your at that range its something else.

is it just me or are others getting hammered with massive ecm's today?? obviously on favourite channels and not random,appears to be affecting all of them(SD and HD).my own card and first time its really affected me.

I'm getting high ecms and glitching for the first time today on Sly Sports 1 whilst watching the Cricket. Both SD and HD versions of Sly sports 1 were affected. It lasted for a few hours until I got fed up and restarted the server and ecms were back to normal.
