With all the transponder changes of late they are definitely up to something.

i would say the changes to the system will come around may/june becuase the free upgrade to hd box is until 31april so after that they will switch old hd boxes off

I've still got the Thompson box and haven't been offered anything! I live in Roi and haven't heard anything so far.

I actually rang them last month because they sent in a flyer telling me that I could now avail of the new on demand services, so I rang them and me mentioned I had a thompson box and I couldn't receive the service because of this. It took a while to get them to understand the issues with the Thompson and on the end they still didn't offer me a new box.

Eventually I told them I was going to cancel my subs and I got through to cancelations where they offered me 15 per month off my subs for 12 months to apologise for my Thompson box. But still no offer for a new box!

So either myself or Ireland in general have been forgotten about, will be interesting if I loose my HD in a few months!

Has anyone else submitted their details as requested in email from s k y ? (serial, version, card no , Box ID) and then tried the card in 500s or similar? did one of my multi-room cards yesterday and now the card only clears sports and movies when in legit box.

I was never requested to do so by sly, I thought I would try add a old thompson box to try delay any impending switch off. But was told they no longer paired cards to older boxes. Which left me with a problem as I had took the HDD out the original paired box.

I then sourced another box and 4 attempts over 2 days they tried to pair the card and even tho their sys said it was, it wasnt clearing subbed channels on sly box ( still ok on on 3rd party tho) So I then tried the link on the card and it work 1st time. So if its clearing in other box then and not sly then its not pair right.

Wonder what the requirement is by sly to select certain people for the email request as it certainly seems its not a blanket email.

surely its going to be a massive undertaking giving away 3 million new boxs for all the old sd customers whose boxs wont handle the upgrades. they have to weigh up the losses through cs against the cost and disruption. they could of course just go to N**4 . it will happen just enjoy it while its possible but personally i watch more foriegn stuff and always have done. regards mdt

to be honest i think its a load of shite

i've been through the new pairing process on my multiroom cards and they are clearing everything in oscam

never mentioned anything about a new box...never mentioned anything about HD in the future..never had an email either

I was having very high ecms last night, never seem them that high before. Sneaky b*****ds are up to something!

they are up to nothing!!!!!!!!!!!! high ecms can be anything

i myself had high ecms and was the net in my road, nothing to with anything else as i was getting spikes when downloading
