No, they wouldn't budge. They said I could send the original commercial invoice (they had a copy anyway) then claimed Customs provide a list of "standard charges" for delivery and thay have to add that to the commercial invoice value. They said that the only way not to add the "standard charge" is to get a commercial invoice sent from the seller with a full value including itemised freight and proof they paid that value for freight. They insist it is correct for them to charge VAT on delivery services outside the EU.Comment

oh right, with me they said the invoice was not good enough, they wanted to see original proof of payment, bank , paypal screenshot t etc as they seemed it undervalued , mine was declared $120 for 5pcs and looking here people seem to declare lower then that , so gave up on it, then 1 week later surprised as it was deliveredComment

I ordered the Cloud Ibox 2 today, cost $110 (?70) delivered with DHL from Airsat, on the subject of customs, yes they are hot at the minute, I ordered a ?160 Lenovo Smart Phone from China that has been stuck in customs for over a week just found out that the charges are ?38 VAT + ?13 processing charge, bought this on Amazon and to my surprise the seller has agreed to pay the customs charges, I find that when they sell on Amazon they will do anything not to get poor feed back.Comment
