the icloud 2 that is on sale is a faster cpu than the xp1000 600mhz compared to 500mhz as for blackhole 2.0.6 by ferrari it should work but we will need to wait and see when the box comes

The Clue to that is in the title with the word FERRARI that is the Clone chip built inside the Receivers and as i previously stated FERRARI only support there own Clone receivers which include DM800,800se,500HD,7020HD,8000HD,Vu Solo,Vu Duo,Vu Uno etc...

From what i can see FERRARI do not have anything to do with either of these Cloud Ibox's.

So if you do decide to load the image you mentioned prepare to have yourself a very expensive doorstop.

Might i suggest that some of you members actually do a little investigative reading before you actually purchase one of these receivers and dont just jump on the bandwagon so to speak, As it clearly states in the adverts from many of the Clone manufacturers that these receivers are compatible with images from Vix,OpenPLI & Open AAF and have ZERO support from Blackhole.

Hopefully this may slow down the influx of posts on here in the next few weeks regarding to "why my iBox2 is not working when i flashed a Blackhole image onto it" type of posts

just been told my order will be ready monday, i myself prefer vix 3.0 and openpli, so will be testing the vix 3.0 image , im very interested on how these will run with having that spec, with 1gb flash, should be fine for picons, epg storage

Hi, i think your confused mate, these are not made by Ferrari , and also the Ibox 2 is based on the original OCTAGON-SF8-HD / MaxDigital XP1000 receivers, which dont have blackhole , only Vix,OpenPLI & Open AAF , the cloud ibox is based on Vu Solo which had blackhole that's why it had it

The original Cloud I-Box is a Vu+ Solo copy, it does not have a Ferrari chip but can use Ferrari modded Vu+ Solo images. The I-box2 is NOT a Vu+ solo copy, it is a XP1000 copy and can NOT use vu+ Solo images. Neither Ferrari nor Blackhole currently do anything with XP1000 images.

There also appears to be 2 different specs for the I-Box2, 1 with 1G Ram and Flash and another with 4G Ram and 2G Flash, don't know if they will both work with the same image.

The iBox2 will not as Lombard clearly pointed out the iBox is the same chipset as the Vu Solo 'VU' being the operative word as the Blackhole Team work on Images exclusively for 'VU'

Again pointed out the iBox2 is based on a different broadcom chipset which 'VU' do not use in any current receiver they have on the Market.

Again as i previously stated read the literature that the Clone manufacturers give with there clone model and there is no mention of Blackhole image and never will be

no officially in it, at least not from vix or atv / ( aaf ), the OE-Alliance will never offer support for clones.

Hi, yes knew that already mate, as thats what Octagon SF8 HD and MaxDigital XP1000 run on , takes images from them receivers , the xp1000 is changed to Octagon SF8 HD , so flash same way as you do with them , be interested about the 1gb flash usage, as the orginal models its based on is only 128MB flash , will it show the extra flash memory ? would easily take picons, plugins, EPG no problem
