          cloud ibox 2

Is the second tuner dvb-t2 or not? Is it playing the uk freeview HD channels or only the standard definition ones?

Is the remote in real life as cheap and nasty it looks in the pictures?

          Thanks in advance

The remote control is not very good on the ibox2 but could be because I'm used to all VU.

The remote control is easily the worst part of this device and unfortunately the Skybox/Openbox remote doesn't work with it.

Airsat Digital recently released an updated bootloader that has screwed some Ibox2 and Ibox3 boxes. The manufacturer says a new ceorrectly programmed EEPROM should replace the one on the board. But there presently seems very little support from the manufacturer to actually get the chip. I was offered a free chip if I also buy another Ibox3!
So be very wary if, like me you buy from China, it seems 'honorable chinese' really aren't too honorable - well Airsat Digital anyway.

Since you have both boxes, which one do you think has got the better tuner?

Does that mean it's not possible to, for example, record Sky One whilst watching sky movies premier because I thought $kyTV uses dvb-s2 in uk?

The DVB-T2 standard for the UK is Freeview HD so i assume if the new Ibox3 has a twin tuner and reported one of those tuners is DVB-T2 then its a case of it can receiver Satellite via the Sat tuner and Freeview HD via the T2 tuner

                            Thanks.

Just looked on another site and I see it comes in either S2 + S2 version or S2 + T2 version.

the twin sat tuner ibox3 was meant to be out on 25/3/14 but it will not be out until 25/4/14

They only have the Dual tuner so far, despite some claims, they don't have the twin sat tuner yet.
