Just another remark.

Better rescan satelites aftre sendig favourites in as some pids and sids might not match

Channels youll show there with signal but not decode for some reason.

So, open dump, import favourites and rescan satellites relating to those favourites.

All will be fine then.

is it possible to convert cats eyes enigma 2 channel list to a *.dbs channel list for my skybox m3? tried all kinds with set edit and pvr edit but cant get it to work and the method at the beginning of the thread bricks my box?

I worked it out,
Open setedit dream and load the catseyes zip,
right click on each favourite and export and save all favourites to a file or folder or desktop etc.
go to regular setedit and open up an image.abs file any will do. right click in the favourites section and import all your favourites.
save as a *.udf file
Now download MediaBoxEditorStudio I found v10 by googling.
download a TP_PROG.dbs file if you dont have one and use the Split.dbs that comes with mediaboxeditor, this will split your TP_PROG into a Sat.rom & sat_tp_prog.udf
I then changed my channel list UDF name to sat_tp_prog.udf and merged it back together with sat.rom using the merge_dbs file with mediaboxeditor.
then you have a TP_PROG with catseyes settings in it ready to flash to your box.

Where can I get mediaboxeditor so I can split the files as you mention?

I got the MediaBoxEditorStudio to import AJ's channel list (select AliGen NoCAS as import type - after having renamed AJs list to .ABS) but exporting it to same format I got export error and if I didn't get export error it didn't read all the changes I made to the channel list when loading it within AliEditor

I have tried this on SKYBOX F5 but cant seem to get it to work. As soon as a modify the ABS file with SetEdit and flash it to the decoder, it won't boot!

I have also split and merged a UDF file but go the exact same result.

Any ideas?

The channel list the F5 recognises is the .dbs format not .abs, the easiest way to this is by using notepad++, I open the TP_PROG.abs file in notepad++ then rename the file TP_PROG.dbs then 'save as' using the 'all files' option, job done.
