Openbox S10 Front of Box saying ON ??

i tried all the softwares there is to fix the s9, nothing works. it just says stb error. i even took it to the supplier he said flash memory is messed and i cnt do much. is he chatting crap? is there anyway i could fix this

When I killed my s10 I downloaded various kits to fix it and some gave me that error.Seems the kits were missing ini files or had the wrong ini files for my receiver.The loader should include the eromclient.abs which has to match the amount of ram in the receiver,ditto for the sdram.ini.You must start the loader first,then turn the receiver on with the switch in the back.Reanimator openbox has the files built-into the loader itself, if you can find that one.

I assume you are using the correct serial cable,null modem.
A terminal program on rs232 should show some life on the rs232 port when you turn on the receiver.This shows you are using the correct cable and there is hope.

HI your transfer speed is not set to high is it? i would reduce it to 56000 or less it may need time to "handshake" the box

You have to match the baudrate of the receiver,which is 115200
A terminal program when connected will say app init ok,which means the rs232 cable is correct,baudrate correct,com port working.

Clone boxes cannot support the new features and bugs fixing which are introduced with new firmware upgrade...

If your box is a clone and you install new hardware, there comes also Blade Runner and retires your clone with clonebomb.
