Recover Dead Skybox/Openbox Flash Using Serial RS232 Null modem Cable

my openbox s11 cannot open and stuck at the display openbox.i tried to flash using cable rs232 to usb but no responding.can anyone help me to fix my problem?

Open Serial Port..
Sync to serial port..
Target not connect or target is error status!

thats message show and serial connection is correct..i think rs232 cannot used because cable inside openbox/skybox only 3cable on the board.rs232 have 9pin.its just connect only and no function.

Make sure you have the right COM port selected. You may have to use a proper COM port and not a USB adapter.

maybe wrong rev of loader or you are turning the receiver on too fast.

hi everyone...
i want to make backup my cccam data and the old firmware on my openbox s16, can i use this rs232 cable??

i cannot backup my data using usb pendrive because old firmware do not have that option.

1more, if my s16 is clone, can i update it to latest version firmware? or any firmware s16 for clone one??

anyone can help me or advice me? i will appreciate that.

Hello people, I too am a victim of a dead box from freaking china...It turns on and displays On then booting but then nada. No output from hdmi or avi so I will revert to checking if the mobo/mainboard is dead or if i just need to flash a new firmware.
