diode n0001 sky box f5 no signal

does anyone know where I can get this diode from seen a post in another forum apparently this is a fix for no signal missing channels with 2 f adapters at both ends with coax in the middle and this diode n0001 attached which lowers the voltage from lnb and cures the no signal channel problem

I think you're talking about some sort of inline voltage regulator, I think some people used to get them for the old S9, S10 receivers, are you sure you need such a thing for your F5? Have you ruled out everything else? Have you identified if its specifically V or H frequencies you're getting no signal with? If you're really sure you need one then you could knock one up yourself for less than a couple of quid with a cap & diode from Maplins, or this guy on ebay is trying to sell ones he makes...

It would be cheaper getting a new LNB as it appears most of these signal issues are related to zinwell branded quads as well as having an official receiver in the mix as well, Makes me laugh i have four different brands of receiver all connected up to some Zinwells on a multi LNB config and not one of these have ever given me any problem, probably due to the fact none of them are branded Open/sky box :-)

The man in Maplin was right. Don't know where you got that number from, but any rectifier diode should be OK. Such as 1n4001/1n4002 etc.

Just noticed that Maplin no longer sell any rectifier diodes (other than bridge rectifiers). They really are going downhill these days!

hi ive had a few s11-x3 and now f5 with this issue.in most cases it can be fixed with replacing the lnb with a new zinwell lnb. where there is a octo lnb or long run of cable you need to make a inline filter. i have the parts to do this ..as i say ive done a few. what im saying is i would be happy to supply parts or made up filter for price of parts and post charges..

Sorry DOUGALMCD, I should have quoted the first post when I posted that reply.

I was refering to the original post. There's no such diode as an n0001.

Anyone know if this is all the Zinwell LNBs that are causing issues or just the older ones?

is there a tutorial on how to make these???

is it matter of making slit in coax cable and solder each end to conductor??? which end of diode goes into receiver and which end towards lnb?
