Hi CWaite,

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for providing and maintaining this channel list. By far the best channel list for Openbox and I'm glad I came across this after seeing your website mentioned on the channel list installed on my box.

There's a few very minor changes i'm not sure if you're aware of:


Sky Channel 303 and 304 are Sky Movies Christmas and Sky Movies StarWars respectively

Thanks for your kind words, At present as I don't have a great deal of time on my hands, I have decided to not change the channel names when these temporary channel name changes occur, I would rather use the little time I have to focus on permanent changes.

After putting cwaites list on my openbox v8s sky sports 1 and 2 didn't work then i noticed that the service id was different to the ones on king of sat once i changed the id the channels worked again how come this is happening i never had any trouble with these lists before. i have noticed there are two service id's for these channels but the one on this list doesn't work.will it be like this for future lists?

Sly sports1 - cwaites list service id - 4214 this doesn't work on my box
king of sat has another id - 4221 this one works

Sky Sports is on quite a few different TP's and ID's (4214, 4216, 4221, 4611, 4914) not sure why yours is only working on 4221. 4214 seems to be the likely main Sly Sports 1 channel as it has the Narration (NAR) audio track on that ID, 4221 only has the main audio track and is likely to be a feed for rebroadcast. Can you see if channel 1141 and 1142 work, these are the Irish versions.

If they don't work then I will add the SS1 SID 4221 and the SID for SS2 (if you can tell me what one works for you) to the test section.

4221 and 4214 are on the same TP I don't understand why this is happening Yes the Irish versions work the id for sky sports 2 for me is 4222 also i have to change sky one to 4701

Can you tell me what message you are getting on each of these channels that you are having problems with (i.e. No Signal, Scrambled, etc)

Sounds like you have a bad box or setup

I put the Cwaite's channel list on a brand new V8s box last night for a friend & every thing is running fine for the last 24 hours
on all the channels you are on about........

When was your setup last checked ?
also scrambled message has nothing to do with the channel list......its where you get your channels from or internet
But i guess you would know that looking at your other post's

This channel moved transponder on 2nd December so we might have to wait until whoever maintains the EPG to make amendments to get the listing back.

It looks like your man has setup his system to AJ's Channel list, I am reluctant to change the channels on the main channel list as these SID's appear to be the main SID's used by Sly, and for the majority of people they seem to work without a problem, I have therefore added the frequencies and SID's as Alternatives and can be found on the following channel numbers

1260 Sly 1 (Alt)
1261 Sly Sports News HQ (Alt)
1262 Sly Sports 1 (Alt)
1263 Sly Sports 2 (Alt)

They are also added to the end of the Favourites, these Alternative channels will remain on Future Channel list updates.

If you can speak to your men and ask them to make adjustments to allow his magic to work on CWAITE's list as well as AJ's then that would help a great deal.
