the new itv Encore channels that
only start on the 9th of this month
has the HD channel blocked

It's been testing on 10891H (ITV Encore), 10906V (ITV Encore +1), & 10832H (ITV Encore HD).

with the SD Encore and Encore +1 channels
and now only the SD channels are opening
even though the HD channel has signal and
it's on the correct frequency. so it looks like
that is blocked.

Cable or Motorised Dish seem to be the way forward as the HD fix is proving to be very costly and only in a few select countries at present.

once again there is far more than a couple of satellites to this hobby and a diseqc set up does'nt need a bank loan and then you will get everything available from many other satellites as for all the concern about these HD channels vanishing we still have all the SD channels open and i'm sure once this provider has blocked all the channels to all except the official subscribers box and card. there wont be a fix for this without inside information for a long time if ever. you
cant reverse engineer the encryption when you don't know the encryption code/key/method etc: being used. and you can bet they have done everything to make it very secure, and no one has cracked the hd channels on 13e and they were blocked last November, so come on get a motorised set up then sit back and enjoy. and remember you will be keeping our uk satellite installers busy

it looks like i may need to take this hobby a bit more serious....or is there really nothing that can be done to work around or prevent what is happening at an alarmingly fast rate?

All HD moves will disappear end of the week, I was working on this issue last night, I have found the xs\l files were causing the problem and can be easily sorted, I am waiting to see after installing those files on I will see how the box reacts if all ok I will then need to test the files before going on line fingers crossed.

there are lots of channels in English on 23.5e
also more on 19.2e plus 1w, 30w, and if your dish
is big enough then also channels on 4.8e, plus iv'e read today
that digialb and there hd channels are now back open on 16e
you should be able to change the audio to English for most sats and channels
most of these channels are scrambled so you need away to get them open
and dont ask how the rules dont allow anyone to help on this.
