ok guy's need some guidance now please.
when i do a scan on 28.2e all the TP's on vertical are showing as failed and end result is that I'm not seeing any of the music channels on the final prog list.... any ideas please

just checked and it was already set to those freq. just a thought on the lnb there is an arrow with 5 or 6 numbers. what should that be on?
lnb skew i believe, as i said all other boxes in the house are ok, 2x proper sky boxes,1xtm600 and 1x dreambox.

cmon guy's need help pls.... checked the lnb skew..it is set to 3 the only thing i can see is that the signal strength/ quality is conciderably lower on most of the vertical TP's, yet the Horizontal ones have very good signal. All channels are working from the same feed on my TM600????

HELLO AMIGO, don?t know if i can help you, we are installing sat stuff for many years here in spain. mainly brits sky.
i bought a openbox, and i am actually very happy with it, using it as cccam client.
compared with other boxes, openbox seems not to have a very good tuner, or my box (its tuner) is faulty.
other people say openbox s9 has a very good tuner.
for me, compared for example with dreambox 500 or dreambox 800 hd, or simply the original skybox: they all work fine more or less same signal on same frequence.
well my openbox is worse, some transponders they don?t even show up after a scan, so i load a channel list from here for example but these transponders are not doing well.
in my case the movies for example.
and like i say on all other boxes fine.
i tried everything and there is just no way.
f.e. movie transponder openbox max 15% signal = black screen
" " dreambox 500 75% = perfect
dreambox 800 hd 70% = perfect
sky digibox original perfect
the strange thing is its only on 2 particular transponders
movies normal
movies hd
i might buy another openbox, because i tried everything and i will give a second chance to openbox.
after all this reading nobody except you seem to have a problem with the tuner.
well you as well, i think my box has a funny tuner and yours as well.
don?t know if this helps you, if you want i let you know how my new openbox works will buy it next week.

thanks matey, i'm slowly coming to the conclusion that is the box. i read somwhere that there is atrnsistor that regulates the switch between H & V tp's and that if this is faulty it will not switch. What i did find just before i re flashed my box again is that is i change the frequency of the TP's in the Antenna setup then i get a strong signal on the bars. have also noticed on the antenna setup the lnb frequency is set to universal 9750-10600 but some of the frequencies i want to access are on higher numbers...does this matter?

about this numbers you say they are above the lnb tunes.
this might be the problem, just try m8.
i don?t have the box with me now, will try around next week.
if you say they go up to 10600, so my movie transponder problem is on 11368 (more or less) so this is above.
but we can only try.
and why other people have no probs with it?
