Thakns to all in this thread, I'm now running openvix, install a fan, oscam(a must as cccam causes lock ups,kernel segfaults).26 hours no freeze multiple recordings and still strong.

so Defo a fan and oscam only, done deal.

I heard a whisper that the OpenPLI image is suppose to be pretty stable, I think the main problems with these and the S6000 is that they are crammed into a very small enclosure with no real cooling options so the first exercise really is to find a way to keep the box cool some have said remove the card reader and install a smallish fan which seems to have worked as well as turning them upside down.

done that apart from installing a fan. which image from the vix / blackhole family can you recommend?

Try the Latest OpenPLI 3.0 that is what everyone else seems to be using on these clones with no problems

I put the latest OpenPLi on the S6000 I sell, they do work OK on BH2.0.2 but need a USB to store the EPG. They run warm but not excessively hot and no freezing - maybe they are better than the cloud branded ones.

Boxes arived today look fine pictures below. I'm going to try a few images to see how they run i'll report back

So far i've had one switched on for 2 hours and still completly cool sitting upside down with card slot open

I've tested the 5 boxes all been switched on continuously for 3 days now 3 with card slot and grid removed so that it is completely open 1 with card slot removed from the removable grid then te grid put back in place with the card slot and 1 as they come with card slot still in place.

The 3 open boxes ran very cool and no heat issues what so ever.

The one with the card slot removed but grid put back in place has got hot but still seems to run ok

The one with the card slot in place as they come is incredibly hot and running very poorly with constant freezing.

I tried Vix 3.0.666 Openpli 3.0 and Openpli 2.1

Vix 3.0 ran fine not freezing but the mtv channels when opened up had the audio of mtv live over every channel and when trying to change the audio channels on the chosen tv channel the audio problem did not switch.

Openpli 3.0 Seemed to run perfect no issues at all

Openpli 2.1 again ran perfectly no issue the same issue as with the Vix flash existed on mtv channels but I was able to change the audio channel and resolve the issue.

All in all i've stuck with Openpli 2.1 simply because the boxes are supplied with this image ready installed it's just a case of configuring to our needs and adding plugins as required.

Now that i've added all of my required plugins like icefilms 1channel etc is there a way i can take a full backup of the whole box then place the exact same onto other boxes so that each box has exactly the same plugins, channels,bouquets and setting without going through and configuring each box individually

May I ask how you installed the grille? Have you cut the case lid in the middle and then connected the two pieces with the grille in the middle?

You should really have The EPG saved to a USB stick, saving it to the nand flash is not recommended and can shorten the life of the Flash itself which is there for images and plugins only

How is is going after 1 weeks usage? Is it still stable?

Still going well very happy. I now have it with Icefilms 1Channel BBC Iplayer and ITV Player a few other bits and pieces all in all very happy.

Yes it was upside down when doing tests and still is upside down with card slot removed.
