You never answered my question. How much did you pay for the box? If it was over ?400 it might be an original. If it was ?125 or similar its definitely a clone, Andy.

I got it as a second hand/used I paid around ?145.00 plus postage and packaging. My brother has got dreambox dm800 se cloned version. I can see the difference in quality. This dream dm800 pvr is much better with built-in quality which I can see with my eyes. I did authenticity test on the website. Serial number and mac number, both match with the sticker on the box.....

were do you think the clone makers get there 1st unit for cloning, they buy a genuine product, I am not bothered what you have , genuine, clone , imaginary, it don't matter to me, I am trying to help you as next time you come to upgrade it you gonna be stuck with a "no ca error fault" again , its running a clone image and the screen states sim2 , comparing the packaging from the box is plain stupid, the genuine authenticity test does not involve the packaging, you need to run the plugin on the box and enter the verification code on dmm website.
you aint the 1st to be fooled and you wont be the last, there is nothing wrong with a clone dm provided you know what you got

The information i gather from the screenshot the OP has posted its a 100% CLONE Sim201 800, the big give away is of course the Sim201 message but also the extremely old and outdated www. address for images.

if it was genuine it would say Dream Multimedia and nothing else

I really appreciate your help and thats why I am seeking your help. I have been told that it is 100% genuine box. if I found it that it not genuine box, I can still return it and I can buy dm800 se at a cheaper price direct from china.

tbh, I have run the plugin on the box, I copied the code at the dream multimedia website. Than I verified the information with the box. Every thing seems to be....


I really want to know, if it is original or cloned box.... as I mentioned before, if it is a cloned box, i will return it back I got only couple of days before I decide ...

That website my friend is for CLONE Dream multimedia products only it is not DM's official site.

The box you have is a 100% CLONE Sim201 receiver if you flash it with an original image from the Dream Multimedia website you will brick it completely.

you have been informed countless times by 2 well respected members Southpaw & Andy91 that this is a clone receiver well i concur so thats a 3rd

As Southpaw and Digicon have both said its a clone mate. We aren't here to gloat but to help. I'm a novice compared to them but even I know your box points to a clone. Ive 2 myself there's nothing wrong with them only the price you paid. You can get the same new from China for 100 quid delivered. Andy.

I understand and respect the valued opinion of senior members but I have been refereed to do certain test to check the authenticity of my dreambox. I have done similar tlest to my box and results seem to be positive. Now I need your opinion for very last time before I contact with my seller for refund...

The picture you posted of the front of the LCD screen clearly states Sim201 Team and the www. address i referred to is also on that screen which is the old address for dreamoem who are CLONE image makers

I just got the confirmation from the guy who update my box. He told me that he used an original image and he told me that it is an original box.

But I still want to know for sure if its an original box. If its not a original box, i will return it back to the seller. BUT I dont want to return it if its an original box....

Tell you what contact dream multimedia direct by email and enclose the screenshot from page 2 that you uploaded that has the Sim201 on screen i am sure they will put you straight, As it appears that our word is still not good enough

Thanks for your confident posts. I have reported back it seller and my seller is agreed to refund me ?50.00 back into my account. I think, this box is worth it. Now I can enjoy it, until 4k dreambox will available in market.

One very strange thing is happening with this box. Whenever I try to update with a clone box, it shows an error and I have to dreamup and flash it original image, it works fine... its very strangely cloned box ...


What is the best and the most beautiful image (graphically and techincally) available in the market? You guys are geek you can recommend me with good solution please..
