    Connections are the same

Connector on 2.5 drive is same as 3.5 so no need for adapter.

Yes I was meaning the cradle to fit a 2.5" drive into a bigger 3.5" space so the drive is safe and secure.

Why waste money on a cradle?

Just get a drill out or cable ties or blutak

I put a 3.5 1TB in, and I can't hear the fan, or have any heat problems.

Last time I looked and translated Amazon.de it was being sold by Amazon themselves or maybe one of those forfilled by Amazon deals. Either way, if im right, thats got to be the best way to buy from Germany. If it fails within 2 years Amazon.de should replace it if they can and link you to a prepaid dhl(or whatever) shipping label. If they can't replace they should offer money back. Thats how it would work in the UK

I still haven't bought this yet and it would be nice if a UK supplier could match this kind of pricing. Definitely been put off by the clones

EDIT: As I thought amazon.de order is direct from Amazon. The delivered price is ?259.87 with a 2 year warranty. Is a ?30 saving with an extra year's warranty worth buying from Germany? It's borderline IMHO

well in my opinion it is fully worth it for a fully original receiver with the added warranty. also if you are buying then get in quick as i have been told that there is very limited stock on these now and Vu may be soon ceasing further production ( not confirmed yet ) on these older models.

Doesn't that mean the prices will start to tumble as they try and shift old stock.
If there's something new in the pipeline that's what generally happens - for all products.

i would not think so. if they cease production several months before launching the new models creating a limited stock situation. although at this point it is just speculation.

It's just normal company operation isn't it, why do Panasonic launch a new TV set every 9 months or so?
