DM500 and N3 upc card

hi all
sorry ive been away for a bit been doing a lot of reading up on this and and have made a little progress still no working pictures yet.

ok i have tried to read the n3 card its a
ROM Revision: 142
EEPROM Revision: RevG02

as read from nagraedit with my smartgo.

i have tried to setup that sakiblateef reccomended but to be honest i have no idea if it will work.

i say this because when i select what softcam to use with the blue panel i have the following options

common interface
radegast 4.2_rel10
cccam 2.011
cccam 2.011/newcs 1.66
cccam 2.011/mpcs 1.05a

i added the ragdgast seperatly from the addon's as i figured its needed but i do not know what option of the 4 to activate

the text file ive attached has my newcs.xml/radegast.cfg and my cccam.cfg for someone to have a look at and ttry to explain what needs to be done

I've not setup a Nagra 3 card for cs however I think you need to be running cccam + Newcs + radegast. From your options it doesn't seem to be available on the image your using I will try and see if I can find anymore info for you.

the emu's that are downloaded from the gemini server is it possible to get the correct package ie the combination of newcs ccccam radgast if not how can i make this so that the list of sofcams can have the correct cams loaded??

in spain they have rom142 some boxes have no RSA key used and they can still use card,, but this is not support in newcs,,,

Since newcs doesn't work, you might as well try some alternatives

Try downloading SCAM and edit the /var/key/sc_nagravison
config file

If that doesn't work, you could try rqcs or oscam

Ok I've found this info its for TV Cabo rom 142 rev G02. I don't see no reason why it can't be adapted to work for your card but bear in mind if your not having any luck after trying this then it could be down to not knowing the RSA key for your receiver.


These files are all you need to make your rom142 cabo nagra 3 card to work on dreamboxes 5620, 500, 600PVR, 7000 and 7020 models.


1. Paring the card with your receiver:

File found on: var\tuxbox\config\newcs.xml

Edit the file newcs.xml to change the Boxkey and RSA of your ROm142 nagra card.

TIP: Use MS Word to edit the newcs.xml file then just click save once you finished.

Also you may change the IP 127.0.0.1 to the IP of your dreambox if you wish.


2. Changing the IP connection of radegast to newcs.xml ports.

File found on: var\etc\Radegast.cfg
Use wordpad to edit this file.
Go to this section:

# where 'proto' = 1 for v4 rdgd server, 0 for older rdgd server and 2 for nwecamd server
#example 1 => radegast server connect:

3. You may wish to change the IP 127.0.0.1 to the IP of your Dreambox where the card is.


If you have another Dreambox in your house with another rom142 with a diffirent rom142 and with to share the packages bettween them then you may ass another

Net share 1 = and the IP of the second dreambox :777:0

You may also use this setup to read the rom142 card from a windows or linux based newcs program on your PC in case you need the card slot on your dreambox

for another card.

4. INSTALLING

Install files after edited via an FTP program like DCC into your Dreambox as listed:

All file make attributes/CHMOD 755


Files to do to directories:


var/bin/camd.rdgd
var/bin/dem
var/bin/newcs_1.20
var/bin/v4b40.PPC

var/radegast.cfg

var/script/gbox_radegast_newcs_cam.sh

var/tuxbox/config/newcs.xml

You MUST not have any other radegast scripts cam scripts on the var/script directory. If there is one then delete it and leave only the on listed here.


5. After setting the CHMOD to 755 on all files do a reboot on the dreambox and on restart insert the rom142 on your Slot 1 card reader then go to the BLue Pannel, select the Radegast_rom142 cam and activate it.
A few seconds latter if should see the image.

Note that the zapping can be slower than other cams. 1 to 3 seconds between channels is normal.

You could alternatively try this image its running Gbox protocol just need to put your box key info in and replace the satellite xml file with the cable one and do a scan.

Ready to go with rom 142 cards.

Just need to edit card details

Compatible with Eagle receivers

Trying gbox is the best idea.
It makes no sense to try newcs for a card which was setup not to use an RSA key.

As the image is a backup image it should have the emu loaded already.

To run in Gbox I found the following info:

you have 2 options for this card under gbox

1.newcs+cs2gbox+gbox 2.2F (nagra3 support)
2.newcs+mbox (mbox is not very stable for local cards)

in both situations you must know the boxkey and rsa key
Box key and rsa key must be inserted in newcs.xml file from /var/tuxbox/config/

It seems Gbox is also setup to work with RSA key. If you've not had any success with the info posted in the other posts then it will most likely be down not knowing the RSA key for your box.

You can't program Nagra 3 cards as its not hacked.

I did some reading and seems that a RSA key is definitely needed. Some cams have a Polsat RSA key embedded in them
since it is common to all receivers from that provider.
This allows cards to run with only the boxkey.
