No problem matey. The fun starts now with matching your channel names with the providers! It's easy for the sat boys as they generally have only one provider!!!

I've tweaked my radiotimes.py file to but some extra info in the epg like director, year, duration, star rating. Here it is for you.

Another tip - before checking tweaks/changes make sure you empty the e2_loadepg cache folder.

Mine downloads automatically every night using cron. Let me know if you want me any help on that (fairly easy).

I imported my lamedb file into a spreadsheet and deleted all the unneeded stuff and ploded through it. I'm sure someone clever could write a script to strip out the info.

If you don't have this bookmarked then add it. It gives the mapping of the channels on the RT website.

Got them all done now appart from 5 channels, just happens to be my regional ones, Problem is it takes about 30mins to update, so its slow testing. All channels double checked with Radio times website, etc...spent hours on that alone.

Yes a script could do it, but for now manual will have to do.
So when I fix my missing channels, will upload it for all.

Just remove the '#' from before the cable information. I had this problem to begin with too. # means they are ignored and the info isn't downloaded, regardless of the 0 or 1 option.

The first line of any channel list is just information to let you know what channel corresponds with the radio times listing. The 2nd line is what does the work. I have found that on a lot of the channels both lines have #'s before them, including my own regional channels. I took a couple out and hey presto, got them working.

                    HTH

Still can't get mine working though,

ok all channels working, that are availble form radio times listings. Have increased it to 14days listings recorded now.

Just want to test its records properly and tweak it to how I like my setup

Yep - sorry about that. Never thought my file would ever be anything other than my file! I preferred to comment them out than change the number.

WRT the recording. I've never had any issues with it apart from the event description sometimes bears no resemblance to what has been recorded. Only happened a couple of times. Weird.

What image are you guys using? I'm using PLi Jade 3 and had to tweak one of the config files to stop the EIT overwriting the RT data. It's not a big deal if it is, it just means you lose the longer event description.

Channel numbering has nothing to do with it. It matches the info it downloads to your channels by channel name on your box and providers.
