Ok I'll go for it
A mount is not required for any of this. As long as you can connect to the box via your router, and your box can also connect to the net then you are sorted.
I can't help any current issues you have so I will have to assume you start from the beginning. I would normally recommend that you backup your settings but since your image is doing wierd things I would strongly suggest that you don't. Please read through all of this before you begin, if you don't fancy any stage and you want to ignore it.. please disregard all of it. There is no point in me typing all this for you to pick and choose, this is how to get it to work..... almost guaranteed
Download Bonesy's Image, it includes the HDD files required. You will also require the bootloader as the backup images don't include it. I am pretty sure that is included in the rar as well although I can't be positive.
This mini guide assumes you have half a clue what you are doing and that you know how to connect your dreambox to your router, and that your router is setup for DHCP.
Turn the box on at the mains while holding in the power button.
Make note of the IP address stated on the LCD of your Dreambox.
Open IE on a computer also connected to the router and type the IP address into the address bar 192.168.x.xxx usually.
Click Flash and then click Browse to select Bonesys image.
Wait on the image being uploaded.
Restart the box.
You will probably get an error, in which case use DreamUp to upload the 2nd stage boot that is compatible with your box.
Scan for channels
Connect to your box via FTP and copy the files in the HDD.rar into the root of your harddrive.
You should end up with /media/hda1/e2_loadepg/*
Load in your cams etc and make sure the image is fully functional.
Edit the radiotimes conf file to correspond to your channel list (try 1 channel at first just to check it works)
Telnet to the box by typing in 'telnet 192.168.x.xxx' to the "run" box
type "root" as the password
type cd /media/hda1/e2_loadepg
type e2_loadepg.py
Wait approx 40 mins (a lot less if it is only 1 channel as a test)
Once box has re-booted you should have 14 day epg.
Hope that helps.
